This in its own is GREAT...finally some relief!
I've always felt that rfactor (gmotor 2.0) was a good basis (same shit GTR2 is built on) but the problem with all these "mod" fixes are without the inclusion of tracks, cars, series and all working in a nice neat retail package....it ain't going to fly...at last we have that as ARCA sim will be a boxed package minus the bullshit/endless learning curve (who all but the most hard core get passed). NR2003 in the GOLDEN years was the greatest because of the fact no mods were required...you could find leagues that worked fine with the game as is...no third party horseshit required (aka...teambased service packs...and countless "recommended" ini hacks).
Let us give the ARCA team a few other much needed features
- Working Online Flags/and league utilities...nothing is more important without this small but important detail nobody is going to beable to adopt it. we need and exe server that can be launched without user intervention (aka..the infamous NSR horseshit) that also is rich in admin/boss functionality, replay management that works (including lap times..no bullshit telemetry), working exports! yes as simple as that sounds its something the doushe bags at EA sports could never get working.
- I realise that this is ISI 2.0 and that engine does not support an easy car file format (you gotta manage the shit in PSP or photoshop VIA a directory structure) but please figure out how to allow users to manage this ingame (simlar to nr2003) even if they paint and simply import in...a big part of NR2003 success was the ablilty to share/paint cars....anyone could do it. DO NOT close this off to only the art leaches (hog54) and picasso's with no lives (that dolt named iceman..lol).
- NO CGW...these stupid fucking 'internet fame' seeking PS2 game controler welding EA asskissing hunks of dog shit have no place in online racing...avoid the php nuke shoe string outfits and build your own community. Do not let your Beta testers say SHIT! or use your sim to pull traffic (funny how the dumbfuck at CGW always made people sign up to there site and put up with there shit before getting any files). NON-Bias, free enviorment.
- Do NOT base your sim on marketing driven BULLSHIT and make promises you can't (or unable to ) KEEP
- Handle your OWN shit!!...we are not stupid you aren't saving face or hiding the facts from noone when you relase HERE say bullshit patch info through third parties...AKA the assface stringer/ his boyfriend crazyjnutz
- Listen and work with the community...and most importantly the NR2003 USERS!!..the hell with anyone who has "killah 2004 thunder xperienze"!
